This driver, supports both the hp 2000c series and the hp 2500c series printers. It is compatible with Windows 95/98; in addition, it can be used as an alternate driver, for client systems in combination with Windows NT or Windows 2000. It features:
A reduced driver file size.
Increased Watermark option features.
Symmetrical margins.
Installation using the "add printer" feature of the windows control panel
This driver, does not, however, contain:
A toolbox, a program group or bi-directional support.
Print Mileage / PUMP support.
Installation / Upgrade instructions:
For Windows 95 & Windows 98:
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
If possible, run the printer un-installer utility. If not, delete the existing printer icon on your control panel.
Use the "add printer" option to install this driver.
For Windows NT to Windows 95/98 Client (alternate driver):
Method A
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
First, remove the driver on the NT system (along with the existing alternate driver) by deleting the printer icon from the control panel.
Reinstall the NT driver onto the server, using the "add printer" option and this driver (version 3.2) as the alternate driver.
Delete the existing printer icons on all client systems and perform a point & print operation.
NB : The best results will be obtained by using this driver (version 3.2) as an alternate combined with the hp2000c/hp2500c series - version 3.1 driver on NT.
Method B
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
Install the hp2000c/hp2500c series driver (version 3.1) on NT, and add version 3.2 as the alternate driver.
Perform a point & print operation.
For Windows 2000 to Windows 95/98 Client (alternate driver):
Method A
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
First, use the upgrade option to upgrade the alternate driver on your Windows 2000 server.
Delete the existing printer icons on all client systems and perform a point & print operation.
Method B
Download this file to a newly created sub-directory on your local hard drive.
Delete the existing alternate printer driver and add the version 3.2 as the new alternate driver
Delete the existing printer icons on all client systems and perform a point & print operation.
