Description
Create a new folder on the hard drive, such as c:\dj6127, before downloading the printer driver.
Download the driver to the newly created c:\dj6127 folder.
Before Installing
For USB Installation:DO NOT connect the USB cable between the printer and PC until prompted to do so in the steps that follow (below).
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to install the downloaded printer software:
Double-click on the downloaded printer software file to extract the driver files.
NOTE: The extraction process will create a series of folders under the c:\dj6127 folder that you downloaded the driver file into. Under the "C:\dj6127\6127" folder, a three letter language folder will be displayed which corresponds with the driver language that you downloaded. For example, the English driver (6127_enu_win9x_meinfu.exe) contains a language folder named "enu". Within this folder you will find a "drivers" folder, and within the drivers folder, a "win9x_me" folder.
For USB Installation:
Ensure that the printer is set up and powered on.
Connect the USB cable between the PC and printer.
Follow the onscreen instructions and when prompted by the "Found New Hardware Wizard", navigate to the "win9x_me" folder(as noted above) and locate the printer .inf file. (example: hpf6127x.inf)
Select the .inf file and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
