Model: HP2000Cse
Operating System: Windows 2000 Server (Note: might work with other versions of this os.)
File: altdrv95.zip
Comments:
Hewlett Packard (HP) HP2000Cse Driver. This is the ALTERNATE Windows 95/98 driver needed for Point & Print on Windows NT4/2000 Server when sharing the HP2000Cse with Windows 9x clients. If you've been ripping your hair out trying to figure out why you can't find the 'correct' driver, try this one (it's only available on the CD, not on HP's website).
File Contents: Unzip the files, then go to Start|Settings|Printers. Right-click on the HP2000Cse, then click Properties in the pop-up menu. Click on the Sharing tab, then on Additional Drivers. Select Intel/Windows 95 or 98. Click OK, then browse to the altdrv95.inf file. The driver will load, and now Windows 95/98 clients will get the driver the first time they connect to the printer, rather than having to load all the software on each client manually.
